Shaina’s & Andrew’s love story began on JSwipe (Jewish Tinder) in March 2021. Andrew’s biography included that he was a “Hoosier” and Shaina’s biography stated that she was a “Die Hard Buckeye.” Their first conversation was, unsurprisingly, about college sports. Some flirtatious banter was exchanged back and forth over messages. Within less than a week, their first date led to a second date.

Because of the upcoming Passover holiday, Shaina drove down to Florida to stay with her family for two weeks. Shaina’s two-week stay in Florida quickly turned into a month-long stay due to COVID-19. Andrew and Shaina texted and Facetimed almost every day. And when Shaina returned to Indiana, Andrew’s and Shaina’s relationship bloomed.

Fast forward to February 18, 2022, Andrew proposed to Shaina (and Emmy and Lola), and Shaina said, “of course!” Unbeknownst to Shaina, Andrew’s parents and sisters, and Shaina’s parents and siblings, were listening to the whole proposal in the adjacent room. Shaina, Andrew, and their families haven’t stopped celebrating since then.
